Q. What is a
short throw shifter?
A. A short throw shifter does exactly what it sounds like, shorten the
throws of the stick shift, thus allowing you to shift faster, easier and
smoother. The shifters we sell have a 3rd offset mechanism which will
find 3rd gear for you! You never have to think again about going into a
specific gear, the shifter will do all the work!
Q. How does
this benefit me?
A. If you race, or just have fun on the street having a shorter throw
shifter will always translate into faster acceleration. Having a shifter
that finds gears for you has been proven to increase transmission life.
People are not perfect, but these shifters are! Gear grinding and
miss-shifts will practically be eliminated.
Q. How hard
are these shifters to install? Can I do it myself?
A. On a scale of 1-10, I would say the shifter install is a 3. Anybody
can do it in their garage with some socket wrenches and screw drivers.

any problems you can always call us for assistance!
Q. I don't get
it, how do these shifters "find" gears?
A. Basically the shifters will center themselves over 3rd gear. Both the
Tri-ax and Pro 5.0 do this very well. When you go from 1st to second
obviously you do not usually have a problem, its usually going from 2nd
to 3rd..... since these shifters center themselves over 3rd, all you
have to do is push the shifter up, without any movement side to side.
Then to go to 4th you do not even have to think about it, just go
straight down and the shifter will do the work.
Q. What if I
totally don't like the shifter? Maybe its just too sporty for me?
A. You can return it anytime within 30 days to us, and we'll refund your
